To help combat that stress, The USAA Educational Foundation has developed a revolutionary microlearning tool designed to help service members and their families better prepare for and manage the unique financial challenges they may face. The USAA Educational Foundations Command Your Cash Microlearning Center is being unveiled this week at the Association of the U.S. Armys (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition, one of the largest military expositions in the U.S. During the conference, thousands of active-duty service members, military family members, top military officials, and military serving organizations will be introduced to the Microlearning Center. The Microlearning Center transfers knowledge to learners through the use of short videos on specific financial topics, followed by brief assessments. The free tool is optimized for mobile devices, enabling users to engage in the lessons anytime, anywhere, and at a self-selected pace. The lessons conveyed will help military families create a budget and follow a spending plan, build a solid credit reputation, responsibly manage debt, and build an emergency fund. These are the first steps to maintaining long-term financial readiness. Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Jonathan Harris said his agency made the necessary software changes over the summer so qualified minors could get pre-registered before the new law took effect. As of Saturday, they could access the drug at one of the state’s eight licensed dispensaries located across Connecticut. “The program is a little different,” said Harris, noting how minors need two physicians to confirm palliative use of marijuana is in the young patient’s interest, while adults need only one physician’s approval.
